I graduated from Boylan Catholic High School in May, 2013. I took multiple AP courses and graduated with a weighted GPA of 4.3. I am currently an honors student at the University of Dayton. I will be graduating in May 2016 with a degree in English. My current GPA is 3.72. I have taken English courses at the graduate level in Medieval Literature and have studied abroad at John Cabot University in Rome. I studied Music for a semester at my university and also have a deep love of religious, philosophical, and historical studies.
Experience
I am currently employed at the Write Place at the University of Dayton. We work with students to improve writing skills through using the socratic method when reading students' papers with them. I love teaching others and seeing students find joy in achieving a greater understanding of an academic subject. I have taken AP United States History, AP English Literature and Composition, AP English Language and Composition, AP Microeconomics, AP Government, AP Music Theory, and AP Biology and received scores of 4s and 5s on all but two exams. I am familiar with the AP test format and content and am passionate about helping students succeed in these exams as AP credit has been crucial in my college experience.
